Chengyang Bridge, China
Photograph by Berthold Steinhilber, laif/Redux
A traditional "wind and rain" bridge—so named because it shelters people from the elements—spans the Linxi River in Guangxi Province, China. Built in the elegant architecture of the Dong people, the bridge has five separate pagoda structures with porches and pavilions.
