A snowstorm mutes all but the distinctive scarlet coats worn by members of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, here crossing the Horse Guards Parade in central London. Famous for its mounted soldiers, Horse Guards comprises an ensemble of buildings and the Parade, an open space used for ceremonial events such as the Queen's birthday.
