Santorini, Greece

Photograph by Justin Foulkes, Lonely Planet/ZUMA

A sailboat glides closer to a caldera on the Greek island of Santorini. For Facebook fan John Stefanidis, the Cyclades island group is the perfect summer vacation spot. More than 200 small islands make up the Cyclades, most home to whitewashed fishing villages built into steep cliffs. Santorini, or Thera, is the best known island, famous for the active volcano that rumbles beneath the waters of its deep blue bay.
