The Beauty Is In the Details

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Jacqueline M. Koh

This Moroccan shopkeeper polishes his silver at the start of his business day. As I pause to observe him, I notice the hammered brass trays and the shiny teapots displayed at his store front. I see the details in the carved wooden awning above him and the intricate pattern of the mosaic tiles nearby. These details continue to exhibit the beauty that Morocco possess.

Location: The Medina, Fes, Morocco
