Ingredients:
4 slices white bread (crusts removed)
Butter
1/2 lb. blackberries
Brown sugar
Cognac
Double cream
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Generously butter four slices white bread (crusts removed). Lay half the bread in a shallow baking dish. Cover with half a pound of blackberries and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover with the remaining bread, buttered side up. Dust with more sugar and a splash of cognac. Bake for 20-25 mins. Drizzle with double cream.
Servings: Serves two.
