Australia Photo: Leaning Over a Waterfall

Photo: man standing by waterfall
"This photo of me is by Tom Clynes, our writer. We were in the Kimberley, in the Cockburn Range. I was shooting the lip of the falls with Tom looking down the gorge and this big, Half Dome-looking rock to the right. To get it, I had to walk under a waterfall along a ledge.

"I stood literally on the edge of the rock, leaning out over the falls. I wasn't roped up, but I didn't panic-I definitely draw on a lifetime of being an outdoors person."
