Waterfall, Madeira

Photograph by Kalle Ståhlberg, National Geographic Your Shot

A waterfall on the Portuguese island of Madeira is captured in "an amazingly atmospheric light," says National Geographic Your Shot contributor Kalle Ståhlberg of Finland. Ståhlberg's picture was chosen to help tell a Travelogue story made up of submissions from our photo community. The falls are part of the 25 Fontes, a scenic destination in Madeira's Rabaçal Valley.
