Aboriginals, Australia

Photograph by Wayne Quilliam, National Geographic Your Shot

For our Travelogue assignment, Your Shot member Wayne Quilliam sent in this photo of an Aboriginal ceremony in Australia. "Indigenous people throughout the world experience culture through past, present, and future events. Our ancestors, our spirits guide us, fill us with knowledge to pass onto our children and their children," he wrote. "Australian indigenous people use dance and song to tell stories; this image is the story."
