Bixby Bridge, California

Photograph by Christian Heeb, laif/Redux

High on California's wild, rugged coast north of Big Sur, a single-span concrete bridge stretches 718 feet across Bixby Creek. It's part of a 72-mile stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway designated by the U.S. Department of Transportation as an All-American Road.
