Bock Casemates, Luxembourg

Luxembourg's most visited attraction, the Bock promontory served as fortification against medieval invaders, with reinforcements added in various forms over the centuries. The subterranean casemates, pictured here, originally stretched 14 miles and housed kitchens, workshops, and soldiers.
