Torre Cesta, San Marino

Torre Cesta is the second of three towers on the crest of Monte Titano in the tiny republic of San Marino. Built in the 11th century, the Cesta sits on the mountain's highest peak and once held prison cells. It appears along with the Guaita Rocca and the Montale—the first and third towers, respectively—on San Marino's flag.
