Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca

Casablanca has been the site of numerous architectural innovations over the past 50 years, culminating in the creation of the massive Hassan II Mosque—the city's highlight—in the 1990s. Its zellij tile-covered minaret is the tallest in the world, stretching 689 feet.
