The entryway of the Icehotel in Jukkarsjärvi, Sweden, welcomes guests to its cool accommodations. The entire hotel is made in winter of ice blocks from the Torne River—and it melts in the spring. Builders and artists have been reconstructing the Icehotel every year since 1989, when the first Icehotel was created.
