A glacier looms over sea kayakers as they make their way through the waters of the Svalbard archipelago in Norway. Svalbard, more than 60 percent of which is protected land, is home to seven Norwegian national parks. Sea kayaking is a popular way to explore the area during the relatively mild Arctic summer.
