Municipal Law Library, Munich

There's nothing drab about Munich's municipal law library at New City Hall (Neues Rathaus). Open to the public, the library features sumptuous wood, a spiral staircase, and ornate railings that recall winding vines. New City Hall, built in mock-Gothic style in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, anchors Marienplatz, the center of city life in Munich.
