Twelve Apostles, Australia

Photograph by Patrick Love, Redux

Rising from the sea near Port Campbell are the Twelve Apostles, a series of dramatic rock pillars that are the most famous landmarks along Australia's Great Ocean Road. Stretching from Torquay some 150 miles to Warrnambool, the road offers a mix of scenery: long sandy beaches, miles of rugged cliffs, messes of wildflowers, and pretty fishing ports.
