Rajasthan, India

Photograph by Meng Ann Lim, National Geographic Your Shot

"I was traveling from Pushkar to Jaipur when we stopped for tea at a nondescript roadside restaurant," writes Your Shot community member Meng Ann Lim, who took this photo. "I then discovered the small kitchen where the cooks were making naans. The evening sun was shining through the window, creating a nice golden glow around him, and the smoke just enhanced the effect. However what really caught my attention was how jovial the cook was. He must be doing a very mundane job but he really enjoyed it. I came away infested by his good mood."
