Snowdonia National Park, Wales

Photograph by Jim Richardson, National Geographic

Shepherds move their flock along in Snowdonia National Park, a sweep of green in northwest Wales. The park covers nearly 840 square miles and includes some of the most impressive mountains and moorland in Britain. This is climbers' and outdoor enthusiasts' country, a genuine mountain landscape that tops out on Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales.
