Mount Solitary, Tasmania

Photograph by Alasdair Shurman, National Geographic Your Shot

Tasmania's Lake Pedder surrounds Mount Solitary in this picture submitted to our photo community's Travelogue assignment.

Your Shot contributor Alasdair Shurman had spent the night in a tent in Southwest National Park, Tasmania's largest at about 1.5 million acres. "We awoke to the first rays of dawn as they eased over Mount Anne and Mount Eliza before striking the peak of Mount Solitary," Shurman writes.
