Temple at Hampi, India

Nearly hidden against the rocks behind it, a temple overlooking a pool is just one of many buildings spread out over ten square miles near Hampi, India. The area, now a UNESCO World Heritage site, was the last capital of the Hindu kingdom of Vijayanagar, which flourished from the 14th to 16th centuries.
