Holiday Lights
Photograph by Simon Ingram, My Shot
Stood in the freezing cold when taking this picture. Stuck in my own world and thought myself very lucky to have no one around for this shot. Except I was surprised to find at least 50 riot police coming up behind me! Unbeknown to me the area was empty leading up to the violent student protests!
Some have asked if this image has been stitched or enhanced. I appreciate any feedback and take this one as a big compliment. This is the actual picture I took, and I have used no enhancements.

Notting Hill Carnival
Photograph by Daniele Brandimarte, My Shot
The annual Notting Hill Carnival in London is the largest in Europe. It has also been marred by violence. Music, dances, and colorful disguises by day are often replaced by wild struggles when the night falls. Nonetheless some policemen, with truly English aplomb, seem to enjoy the duty.

Cafe
Photograph by Cezara Rusu, My Shot
This shot is an emblematic illustration of the way in which traditions have changed over time. Sipping a cup of tea in the warm confinements of one's own dining room has been replaced in today's busy society with entertaining shallow conversations in a cafe.
