Baby fox kits against an old abandoned granary in Saskatchewan, Canada. They all went into their den and I waited and they all came back out and posed for me. I couldn't believe it. The den is under the granary, and the mom fox was watching from the field off to the left.

With the Arctic darkness comes the Aqsaniq, the Inuit term for the northern lights. Pangnirtung is a small community of about 1,300 people on Baffin Island in Nunavut, Canada.

While on holiday last August in Canada we visited a small town called Vulcan. It held an annual small-town rodeo in memory of a local rodeo rider, Sam Hartung. Having seen the Calgary Stampede I found this so much more exciting, as I could get really close to the action—but not as close as the rodeo clown, thankfully. Just amazing to see, hear, and smell the tension and atmosphere.

Last day of the Olympics in Vancouver, 2010. The hockey final of Canada versus USA—a moment every Canadian will cherish for the rest of their life. This picture was taken right after they won the gold medal. The picture says what everyone felt at that moment in time.

This photo was taken just as the sun was coming up in southern Alberta in late March. I was taking photos of an old farmhouse that was behind me when I turned around to see three horses watching me ever so closely. It was an amazing shot and a great memory.

On November 11, 2010, I took a one-day trip to see the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada. Churchill has the highest density of polar bears in the world! Although the weather was overcast, dull, and snowing I managed to get a few great shots of the bears.
