Eden Rock, Grand Cayman
Photograph by Mike Sutton Brown, My Shot
The picture was taken at Eden Rock, Grand Cayman. For just a short time every year these silversides swarm caves and swim-throughs at Cayman's dive sites. The picture was taken late afternoon just as the sun was going down. I was hiding behind the silversides low in the rocks. As the tarpon swim through the silversides, they eventually see me and turn away.

St. Kitts
Photograph by Rajesh Pasupathi, My Shot
This was the most beautiful beach landscape I witnessed in the Caribbean. This view on St. Kitts is where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean intersect. Cars climbing the mountain provided an element of scale to show how grand and vast nature is. The dramatic clouds in the sky made it a perfect shot for me.

Pitons, St. Lucia
Photograph by Karl Randay, My Shot
Approaching the Pitons from the north, down the western coast of St. Lucia. It had been raining overnight and the storm clouds heading south were threatening to engulf the island for most of the day. It took another three hours until we got majorly drenched in a brief but intense and warm torrential shower. Caribbean weather has to be experienced to be believed!

A lucky break, I found this little (two-inch-long) yellowhead jawfish while diving in Little Cayman Island. This is a male incubating the female's eggs in its mouth. You can see the tiny larvae in the eggs, which are about to hatch.

Fort Christiansvaern, St. Croix
Photograph by Lisa Lyons, My Shot
There is a wonderful historical site in St. Croix, in the town of Christiansted on the northeast side of the island. This fort was constructed in 1749 by the Danish military that occupied and owned the island. In 1771 the fort was rebuilt due to damage caused by a hurricane. It's a very popular "must visit" historical site and most sections of the fort are accessible to the public, from the canons on the roof to the basement holding cells for prisoners. The bright yellow makes it very pleasing!
