Red Square, Moscow
Photograph by Erich Geisler, My Shot
I was in Moscow for work and I made it down to see the Kremlin, Red Square, and St. Basil's Cathedral. After walking up from the Metro's underground, I came upon this beautiful sight: the light, reflections, wet ground. So I set up for my shot, lens cap off, ready, set, and BOOM. This guy walks up in front of me with his camera phone and snaps a few. I was annoyed at first, until of course I saw the result. One of my favorite shots ever; some of the best ones just happen out of luck or fate.

Bazaar, Istanbul
Photograph by Christopher B Keller, My Shot
Wandering carelessly through the edges of Europe, I ended up on the cobbled streets of Istanbul, Turkey. The characters I met there will be remembered fondly. This picture shares one of the days. It captures a working kid found in a bazaar, as well as the sign of ideas or knowledge (light bulbs). It was so impressive to see how many languages and cultural facts these kids knew, a result from just working at Kapala.

Fireworks, Barcelona
Photograph by Julia Illenberger, My Shot
Incredible moment in Barcelona. It was the most frightening and exciting moment of my life. In Spain, every year, it is a tradition: walking with firecrackers and fireworks through the small streets of Barcelona. And it is a familial event with grandparents and little children. Quickly, it is becoming very hot, and there is smoke everywhere. But everybody is singing and dancing in the streets!
