I was on vacation with my family in Italy and we took a day trip to the island of Capri. While on a boat going along the coast I spotted this lone fisherman and took just one shot, the last on my camera. I love it because it contrasts so beautifully with the throngs of tourists we encountered on the island itself.

Jellyfish, Adriatic Sea

Mediterranean jelly Cotylorhiza tuberculata, Adriatic Sea, in the vicinity of the town of Pula. Also known as the fried egg jellyfish, it can reach 35 centimeters in diameter. This jellyfish has very little or no effect on humans.

I started my southern Italy trip from Rome. My first destination was Napoli, then Capri Island. After a few days, I passed to Amalfi by boat. It was a rainy day and I had no place to sleep.
