Sagrada Familia
Photograph by Nicholas Khoo Kok Leong, My Shot
This picture was taken from the top of the Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona. The view was breathtaking, as the ledge is very low and the wind was blowing strongly that day. It's quite a scary experience! This was a very lucky shot, as it was handheld on a two-second timer, with three exposure shots taken at the same time.

Lightning, Santa Linya
Photograph by Brendan Fraser, My Shot
An extremely lucky shot. I stopped on the road to take a photo of the mountain above the village of Santa Linya in northern Spain. The sun was shining in the valley in front, and a dark storm was approaching from behind. The photo was taken at 1/250th second, which is quite quick, capturing the exact moment of the lightning strike. I never even saw the lightning, as the camera shutter was open for that exact moment. This was the only lightning strike of the storm.

Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao
Photograph by Victor Van Keuren, My Shot
The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is a wonderful structure to photograph. Frank Gehry's buildings are so organic. As I was photographing here, the fog generators came on, which added a very surreal effect. I converted these images to Tritones to enhance the industrial 'feel'.

Sagrada Familia Interior
Photograph by Stephen Chao, My Shot
This is a shot of the interior of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The church has been under construction for over a hundred years and is expected to take at least a decade more. This picture gives a small sense of the extraordinary architectural patterns used in its design—but it is a sight best experienced firsthand.

Atocha Station Memorial, Madrid
Photograph by James Azure, My Shot
A young woman reads the names of those lost in the 2004 Madrid train bombings. This room is completely soundproof. The silence, along with the contrast of the deep blue walls is an experience of which I've never had before in my life. Taken inside the Atocha Station Memorial in Madrid, Spain, on May 21, 2010.

This photo was taken in an old silver mine in San Quintan, Spain. It was almost sunset, so I had to use a tripod and a medium-time exposure speed. The colors are natural but slightly oversatured.
