The northern lights twinkle above a snow-covered stand of trees in Sweden’s Stubba Nature Reserve. Located in the northern end of the country, the reserve sits within the 3,630-square-mile Laponian Area UNESCO World Heritage site, which was designated as both a nature and cultural site in 1996.
