Tucked in the Caucasus Mountains, Ushguli is part of the Upper Svaneti UNESCO World Heritage site. The area, home to some of the highest and most isolated villages in the Caucasus, is recognized for its mountain scenery and medieval-style, centuries-old houses and towers.
