I Am Andrea Marshall

My name is Andrea Marshall. I am a conservation biologist specializing in marine megafauna, such as giant manta rays. As a scientist and ocean ambassador, my job is to document and share the importance of these threatened animals with the public and help find tangible solutions to protect their remaining populations and critical habitats around the world. While my husband and I base ourselves in Mozambique, Africa, I travel more than half of the year to different regions around the world to learn more about the gentle giants we work with and the threats they face globally. However, I have been living in Mozambique for the last 13 years and I consider it my home. To me, It remains one of the most exciting and beautiful destinations on the planet and affords me the opportunity to study our focal species throughout the year.
