Grand Canyon Ledger

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Valencia James

Valencia James took this photo during a visit to the Southern Rim of the grand canyon after driving 3 hours in a thunderstorm by herself. "As I arrived the sun came back out and I was able to get some nice shots." I was snapping away when I instantly was drawn in by this young man on the ledge. I had to take this shot because it provided a great view into just how vast the grand canyon is and how small we are compared to the earths natural wonders.(Nikon D40 Digital Camera, 200 Lens at 75 focal length, exposure 1/250 of a second, f/10,ISO 200)

Location: Grand Canyon, Arizona
