Summer Solstice And Eggs

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Robert Kunz

This was taken on Summer Solstice, June 21, 2011. Raw eggs will stand on edge 2 days a year, Summer & Winter Solstice. Not really having a plan I placed some eggs outside and fired some shots, hoping to end up with a shot that migh have a shot for pick of the day. This is a very interesting thing to do with your kids. Today was my 3rd solstice, 2 summer & 1 winter, since I heard of this phenomenon. Funny today I did not think it was going to work, it did. Now I am 3 for 3 and will do it again this winter. Don't forget to try it yourself.

Location: Okotoks, Alberta< Canada
