Elephant in smoke

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by GALIA OSMO

Elephants in Thailand are chained all day long, without the ability to do any exercise; they suffer from hunger and poor health. This photo was taken in Surin village, while I was participating in the Surin project that helps elephants and local people to establish both respectful and healthy way of living.
