Sunflower Field

Category: Spontaneous Moments

My mother loved sunflowers as I was growing up and always filled our house with them. When she passed away when I was 14 sunflowers became a reminder of her and gave me a sense of peace. I added to my bucket list that I would one day find a field of sunflowers so it became my goal throughout my month spent in Italy to stand by a field of expansive yellow. Upon my last two days before returning home my roommate and I went on an impromptu trip up to a small town called Bibbiena and accidentally ran right into the field I had been waiting for.
