Lookout Point at the Grand Canyon

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by rachel ross

Our group was on our way out of the Grand Canyon after a three day hiking trip. About seven miles into our last trek, I turned around and was absolutely stunned at the beauty of the colossal shapes and brilliant colors as the clouds formed wispy patterns in the background. One of the group members was rounding the trail corner when I happened to snap this shot: revealing the true size of not only Lookout Point, but the rest of the canyon looming behind.

Location: Grand Canyon, Williams, Arizona.
