An artificial rainwater reservoir built in the 14th century AD in Jaisalmer, Western India. A popular tourist destination, it is surrounded by several holy shrines and other structures made of yellow sandstone, an archetype of most structures in Jaisalmer. This photograph shows one such structure at the center of the Lake in the evening light.
