La Arribada.

It was the week of La Arribada in the western coast of Costa Rica the week I stopped by for a visit in a small beach town named Ostional. It's the week of the month where thousands of turtles wash up on shore come sun down to find a place to build their nests and lay their eggs. A difficult task for a mother turtle carrying over 120 eggs up to shore to bring to life a whole new set of sea turtles. My sunset walk on the beach led to this sight, which made me stand in awe of the nature unfolding in front of my eyes. A mother in search for a place to protect her small ones. Beautiful.

Location: Ostional, Guanacaste, Costa Rica
