Some friends and I went on a little road trip around the Olympic Peninsula. While in Forks WA, on the "Twilight" book tour (The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer), I spotted this wonderful tree. Having never seen a tree like this I started snapping! This beautiful shot shows an up close branch with the tree in the background. This tree is often referred to as a "Monkey Tree" but the actual name is Araucaria araucana. Absolutely beautiful, but very sharp!
