Amazonian Storks at Sunset

This is by far one of the most breathtaking moments of my life. I was on a skiff boat in a tributary on the Peruvian Amazon River at sunset. We were bird watching and came into this lagoon with thousands of white storks and as our boat moved through the water we were scaring the storks out of the water in the same direction as we were moving for about 15 minutes straight. I was surrounded by ten of thousands of birds and it was so surreal and beautiful. I was trying to balance on the boat and shoot a million photos at the same time, hoping to get the shot.
