The Peruvian Boy and The Conquistador

I love finding Irony when I am shooting my travel photography. I had just hiked into a poor Peruvian Village outside of Iquitos in the Peruvian Amazon and saw this little boy leaning against his school house wall that had a painting of a conquistador on it. The boy is of Indigenous descent, which is who the Conquistadors tried to eradicate and almost did hundreds of years ago. Both the Incas and the Conquistadors had huge parts in the history and culture of this country...and both sides and their influences are prevalent in this photo.
Location: Amazonian Village-Iquitos, Peru
