Ghardaïa at a glance

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Vicky Sarri

Ghardaïa is place where taking photos on people’s faces is forbidden. I saw the three men in the agora looking various stuff such as second hand watches, bracelets, small knives, tobacco accessories, etc with this little eye lens. Without thinking I took the photo. After I took the shot, the man with the lens in the eye and other man standing on the left, chased me to look at the photo. I denied it, I told them I was taking photos of the agora and fortunately they did not insist to look at my camera. With respect to the beliefs of this country, that I really love, I quote my photo.

Location: Ghardaïa, Algeria
