Vanuatu Dancers

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by amy williams

Traditional Vanuatu dancers performing at Island Vibe Festival in Australia, celebrating the beauty and individuality of their island culture and sharing their passion for song and dance. They were a festival favourite with their constant smiles and enormous energy, making even the most stubborn festival goers dance, jump and shout for joy. For many of the performers it was their first experience of life outside of home and their humble and honest attitude touched everyone.

Location: North Stradbroke Island, Queensland, Australia
