Amsterdam: The City of Bikes

Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Simon Hodgson

More than 700,000 bicycles in the one city. It's no wonder everywhere you look there are people riding bikes. 3 level secure parking lots catering to the thousands of bicycle users that flood the streets of Amsterdam every day. The bikes lined up in this image were parked along a street, occupying every bit of spare space underneath a bridge next to Central Station.

Location: Amsterdam, Holland
