Eye of the Elephant

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Simon Hodgson

Looking through my 400ml lens whilst travelling through the the Zimbabwean bush, when this elephant came strolling past, and I saw what was the most mesmerising eye with the longest lashes I have ever seen. I never thought such a large, wrinkly, slow animal would have such beautiful eyes until I saw it through the lens.

Location: Zimbabwe, Africa
