The eyes of South Africa
Category: Travel Portraits
Photo and caption by Paolo Tortorella
During a break, on my trip in Kruger National Park, I met a group of children. Immediately I was surrounded by some of them looking at me in silence. Then I was attracted by this child that was semi-hidden behind the trunk, not looking at me. I approached and I turned down, waiting and hoping that she looked at me. When she turned, I took this photo and her eyes passing through my lens, my camera, my eyes and stopped in my soul. These are the eyes of South Africa.
