Nebraska Cranes

Category: Outdoor Scenes

Photo and caption by Katie Howell

When road tripping though Nebraska in late February, we noticed this beautiful formation of birds in the sky that we had been following since the state of Iowa. Our paths had officially crossed in middle Nebraska where flocks of them congregated in this little pond next to the highway. These beautiful birds are known as Sandhill Cranes. We spooked them when walking closer for pictures.
