Young novice monk inside wooden monastery living quarters at Sanda Muhni Phara Gri Kyaung Taik, otherwise known as Sanda Muni Monastery in Mrauk U, Myanmar (Burma). The Sanda Muni monastery houses the Sanda Muni Buddha image, also known as the Wishes Fulfilled image. In this nation of 90% Buddhists, most all boys between the ages of 7 and 13 become a novice monk and live in a monastery much like this one for a period of weeks or months.
