Watching the world go by

Category: Spontaneous Moments

Photo and caption by Petra Belford

Peruvian girl tending to sheep and lamas, watching tourists from all over the world entering her village in persuit of visiting the local market. Her mother can be seen in the background. Photo was taken in January, which is not high tourist season, since it still falls into the rain period. I had to zoom in on the girl, as she was not one posing for photos with tourists, but a little off the road tending to livestock. Photo was taken with a Nikon D 90, 28/200mm lense. Time was in the late afternoon.

Location: Chinchero, Urubamba Valley, Peru
