Category: Sense of Place

Photo and caption by Megan Wilcken

This gentleman came to Egu Primary School to check on the progress of his sons' education. All his hopes for their future are tied to their schooling. His weathered hands have at least as many stories as they have wrinkles. All that he is, and all that he hopes his sons will be is captured in the story of his hands. And that story is repeated in the hands of every parent I met in rural Kenya.

Location: Kinango DIstrict, Kenya
