Huddled Snow Monkey Family

The Jigokudani Monkey Park, located in central Japan, is known for the Japanese Macaques, or snow monkeys, that descend upon the valley and soak in the hot springs during the cold winter. The snow monkeys live in large social groups, playing with and grooming each other while oblivious to the human guests that visit each day with their cameras and video gear. This particular family nuzzled up to each other, much to the delight of the photographers fortunate to be within shooting distance of the group. Except for the mother, the monkeys seemed fine with all the attention they were receiving.
