After 900 km driving through the southeast part of Mexico we decided to end our road trip in one of the Mayan cities, Tulum. About 10 min away from Tulum there is a cenote called "La Calavera" (Skull). It was given this name because when the sun beams through the 3 openings in its dome, it creates an effect of two eyes and a mouth.

Location: Cenote "La Calavera" Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico
